2025 Reflections on Trading
What drove me to drinking 🫣 and how I climbed out of the pit...

Hey Folks, Jeff Bishop here.
Every year it’s good as a trader to look back and diagnose what worked and didn’t work in trading.
For me, it was (overall) my most disciplined year ever - though it took a few months to get there.
I started the year on a total TEAR. I was hoping to lock in $10,000 a month in profits every month and I just about hit that goal for the YEAR in January alone.
I continued rocking-and-rolling through February 📈📈📈.
But then came March and April. TARIFF WARS.
I got caught with EXTREME volatility on both sides. I tried to make back my losses quickly by trading 0DTE positions in the QQQs, which only compounded my losses… and quickly 📉
I gave everything back and MORE… negative at this point for the year 📉📉📉.

This is April.
The Market rebounded SHARPLY at the end of April and May 📈 but I didn’t rebound so quickly. I was still a bit gun-shy and licking my wounds.
However, I began to get back to the basics and focus on my bread and butter → those hourly crossover strategies I talk about all the time in my Bullseye sessions.
(This is where the discipline kicked in.)
I also started using covered calls and long-call spreads which enabled me to capitalize on option selling while still enabling my trades to have excellent upside potential.
(Also something I talked about nearly every week in my Bullseye sessions!)
It’s been a steady climb from May to the end of the year. I managed to recover all my losses and more – locking in one of my most successful trading years ever.
If I stay consistent and disciplined, I’m confident 2026 will be my best year ever.
As far as teaching goes, I plan to continue my Bullseye sessions (next LIVE one will be MONDAY, January 12th at 11AM EST) in Market Master’s.
