The markets settled down a bit today, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq notching slight gains and the Dow slipping a bit.
It was basically the snoozefest I expected.
Investors seem crouched in a āwait and seeā position as the 90-day tariff pauses drag on, and we hold on for news on solid deals from our big trading partners.
It's been an incredible month for me personally following this rally, but that was preceded by two of the worst months I've ever had.
I'm ahead on the year, but right back to where I was in early February. I feel 5 years older and probably lost a lot of hair along the way!
I wish I had just cashed out then, done some gardening for the last few months, and come back today!
While Iām not expecting big moves from the major indexes for the foreseeable future, thatās never been my speed anyway. I like outsized movers, and as CNBC notes, ārisk appetite grew this week.ā
Iām very focused on ātactical tradeā ideas right now. On Monday, I alerted two of them, with one closing the day up 14% and the other closing up 51% (which is now up over 65% now!!).
My big idea from this morning was an augmented-reality stock that surged 11% intraday before closing up 5%.
It wasnāt a hall-of-famer but wasnāt bad either.
Iām teeing up again tomorrow on a top ābottom bouncerā idea with big upside potential.
Despite the fanfare over the U.S.-China dĆ©tente, I think things will ultimately shakeout with still-sizable tariffs on the worldās second-largest economy.
That was the upshot of Trumpās first term ā and a huge fixation during his campaigns ā so I expect more of the same this time.
My ātacticalā idea for tomorrow is a stock I think could benefit from that, as well as from broader trends in its sector.
I donāt want to share too much right now, but Iāll be revealing everything on this page at 9am ET tomorrow.
