Explosive Moves Because "Someone" Knows Something!
We’re Bringing Unusual Options Expert JON NAJARIAN To You:
Hey Folks,
Earnings season is in full swing, with FactSet reporting that 83% of S&P 500 companies that have reported so far have surprised to the upside.
More than 100 other companies from the index are reporting this week, and I think today’s positive action in the markets was anticipation of more earnings beats.
The Nasdaq and S&P 500 each hit new intraday all-time highs, and the S&P 500 closed above 6,300 for the first time.
On the trading front, I alerted two “tactical trade” ideas before the bell today.
One of them briefly crossed into double-digits before closing the day up 6%.
The other was truly incredible. I caught this screenshot to give you a sense of the action:

It ultimately fell back down to earth, but as I’d noted in my writeup, it has a history of explosive moves.
I’m now 14-for-19 on recent “tactical trade” ideas with double-digit potential on the days I alerted them (or even triple-digit in that case!).
I’m now focused on a small stock that’s riding the earnings wave. It just reported after the bell, and investors in after-hours trading clearly like what they’re seeing…
With quarterly revenue up 80%+ year-over-year and adjusted EBITA up 130%+, it’s hard to blame them.
📬I’m working up a full report on this idea right now and will have the details out to your inbox before the bell tomorrow — around 9am ET.
Even with all the earnings beats, the strongest post‑earnings jump from the past week I could find was Cleveland‑Cliffs (CLF) at about 12%.
Pipsqueak stuff if you ask me…
The real action is in smaller companies, and the one I’m looking at for tomorrow has great potential. Tune in to see how it plays out!
