In other news...I’ve been busy doing my weekend homework for the upcoming week and I hope you are doing the same!

This was an absolutely WILD week we just had as we saw Silicon Valley Bank implode in about 30 hours right before our very eyes.

It turns out a bank holding over-inflated private equity of “unicorn” companies and calling it capital wasn’t the best idea. Who knew?

Everyone I talk to is asking if this is the next “Lehman moment” for the market, or will the contagion be contained?

I tend to think this will work itself out quickly with a nice government bailout (as usual) or maybe a billionaire white knight, like Uncle Warren or a rich Saudi Prince will come to the rescue to take advantage of the situation.

At the end of the day, the owners of a failed bank should lose all of their investment. Depositors should never have to worry about their money at risk in a US bank.

If the government doesn’t reassure depositors and make sure they are made whole, we will have a much bigger problem on our hands because no one will trust the US banking system.

Either way, we have a rowdy week of trading ahead of us, so buckle up!
