My next-gen home install UPDATE (pictures inside)
👉 Honest review + passing the wife test!

*together with Paladin Power
Hi Folks,
It’s been a while but I wanted to give you a Paladin update.
As you may remember, we’ve been featuring Paladin Power and CEO, Ted Thomas, in our conversations over the past couple of months.
Paladin is a growing private company in the RED HOT clean energy space that’s developed the gold-standard, next-generation hybrid battery system 🏅.
I was so impressed with the system from talking with Ted that I ordered one for my own home.
Yes, I dropped my own chunk of change down and eagerly awaited the install 🤗.
And many of you have been wanting to know how it went.
Well, here goes…
Negotiations: Very clear-cut. No back-and-forth games.
I think I got a good deal. Really helps to have tax incentives and working from home gives me a nice deduction on the cost as well.
Communication with the Paladin team - great!
Since there wasn’t a Paladin-approved installer in the “middle of nowhere” Virginia where I live, they sent out their top tech guy directly to my home for the install (Alan was awesome!).
Alan was able to train a local Master electrician to be able handle future Paladin installations in this area who will now be able to handle this on his own in the future (get your orders in now!)
Delivery – A challenge. I’m absolutely positive these shippers have never delivered a 1500+ pound refrigerator size box to small-town Virginia.
They managed to get it to the bottom of my driveway…

Hired my lawn guy to get it UP the driveway. In retrospect, I DO have a super challenging driveway, so I get it.
To be fair, this was the fault of the third-party shipper, whom I give zero stars to.
Now the BIG one.
Passing the wife test. This was a little more challenging. The original spot in the garage was not "aesthetic" to her.

Hold the thumbs up, Alan!
She says we need to move it back against the wall. Naturally, the forklift is one inch too tall to fit in the garage.
So we call all the muscle in the household… and HEAVE…

And HO!

We get it in a better spot, so we can now get the groceries in the house. And yes, it does look more aesthetic there - always consult your wife!
By the end of the day, all systems were GO. And I’m now ready to SAVE PILES OF MONEY on my electric bill.
How does that work, you say?
The battery system is designed to store energy. I load that energy up at night when electricity is at a cheaper rate (around 80% cheaper to use electricity at night time rates here).
(Call your own electric company and ask about their plans…)
The system will also eliminate my need for a generator (which is NOT cheap or easy to install by the way). So no more calling out of work for me when the power is out!
Plus, it is instant!
When the power goes off, I would never know it. The Paladin system keeps power on in the house without any flicker or down time.
This is big coming from clunky gas generators I’ve had to use in New Hampshire over the years.
Also, no more annual maintenance from generator tech coming out to my house, which really adds up over the years.
Bottom line… I’ve done the math, and it adds up.
If you’re like me and want to save money on electric bills and are tired of being without power….
