Never bet against Korean fried chicken stocks

I’ve been trading for nearly 30 years now, and I learned something new this week – 

Never bet your life savings betting against Korean fried chicken stocks.

Yes, I’m always learning something new about the market!

Although this was NOT a good market day for me, at least I did not tank my whole portfolio by shorting fried chicken - like this poor fellow.

In case you can’t read that on your phone, poor “skilliard7” lost $472,085 short-selling Korean friend chicken companies.

Now, before you say, “That’s dumb, I would never in my right mind bet AGAINST fried chicken - who even does that ?!!!”... he did use some actual reasoning behind his trade.

Props for that!  And of course props for transparency!  Too many traders just brag about their wins (*clears throat…). 

How was he to know that the CEO of NVDA would send fried chicken stocks to the moon with just a photo op?

However, today would have been a nice day to be short.  I do think the market is suffering a bit from overall euphoria, and a pullback was due.

Which brings me to tomorrow – I’m developing my trading plan as we speak, and I’ve got my eye on a small company that may be positioned for a nice rebound after the huge market selloff today.
