That’s right - January 2025 was among my best trading months of the YEAR! So you better believe I’m ramping up for trading right now 💪

Quick Refresher: The January Effect is the tendency for stocks — particularly for beaten-down names — to rally early in the new year. The theory is simple. Fund managers clean house in December, lock in tax losses, rebalance portfolios, and then come January… fresh capital comes back to work.
That’s exactly what we saw play out.
Late December 2024 looked ugly. Stocks pulled back, traders took profits, and risk appetite vanished faster than New Year’s resolutions. But as soon as the calendar flipped to January, money rotated right back into equities — particularly tech, momentum names, and high-beta stocks that had been punished weeks earlier.
January 2025 delivered:
Strong pre-market rebounds
Aggressive dip-buying
Fast moves in stocks traders had written off in December
Same playbook. Different year.
Now, here’s the part most people miss: the January Effect isn’t magic. It’s positioning. It’s psychology. And it’s money managers needing to show activity early in the year — not sitting in cash explaining themselves.
That’s why some of the best opportunities tend to show up right after the holidays, when fear is high and liquidity comes rushing back in.
