While tech’s tanking📉, this is quietly dominating

One under-the-radar play worth watching...

If you haven’t checked your portfolio yet today — don’t look now!

It was another bloody day in the markets, with tech giants leading the selloff and the major indexes tumbling 2%+.

The VIX is up 14% on the day, signalling renewed fears in the market.

In a phenomenon that continues to surprise investors, bond yields also rose, and the dollar sank.

President Trump’s shot across the bow against Jerome Powell — he called him a “major loser” and demanded he cut rates immediately — got much of the blame.

Crypto was up a bit today, which was great because, as I wrote in my Bullseye dispatch this morning, “I do see a bright spot in the crypto space, and I am cautiously wading into it.”

But the truly bright spot — all year, really — has been in the precious metals.

It’s pretty amazing just how well gold, in particular, has done this year compared to how little attention it’s gotten in the financial press.

The conspiracy-minded think that’s because major companies like CNBC take lots of ad revenue from the crypto space, and they do seem to carry a lot of water for “digital gold” while ignoring its physical cousin.

Nevertheless, gold is up a whopping 30% YTD, crossing $3,400 for the first time today.

Silver is up a respectable 13% YTD, and platinum gets an honorable mention at 7%.

These are especially great returns considering that just about everything else stinks.

If you’ve followed me for a while, you know I generally like precious metals, but that I prefer mining stocks over bullion.

Right now, I have my sights on a gold/silver stock that just uplisted on a new exchange today, and closed the day up nearly 5%. (Gold, by contrast, was up only 3.1%.)

This is a company that’s caught the attention (and investment!) of a key precious-metals billionaire as well as America’s largest silver producer, Hecla Mining (HL).

I’m excited to share this trade idea with you tomorrow morning at 9am EST on this page.

To repeat, the company just listed on a new exchange, and I think it makes sense to take a close look at it right now before it comes on more investors’ radars.

Bookmark that page and be sure you’re well caffeinated when you refresh it at that time. I’ll share the full details from my homework then.
